I will never ever go to Mexico again! The mere thought of it turns my stomach! Mexico is filled with horrifing memories...I wish Mexico would fall off into the ocean...harsh but true..sorry Sis
Missing Marnie so much as her birthday approaches and not believing that she has been gone for nearly five years. A trip to Mexico isn't in the cards, but I would really like to plan a get-together in Colorado sometime this winter/spring to reminisce and remember Marnie. Liz, Marcus, Betsey, anyone else? Meghan
Whether reading brant bands in Mexico, snowboarding in Colorado, or studying geese in Alaska, Marnie Shepherd's love of life and fun brought, in the words of her niece, "big giant smiles" to each of us. Here we celebrate her life and share good memories of our friend and colleague.
If you would like to make a post to Marnie's memorial blog please do not hesitate to contact either Dan Rizzolo (rizzolod[AT]hotmail[dot]com), or Ellie Mason. We'll get back to you with the sign-in information ASAP. Thank you!

Another summer of field work without Shepherd, it was a lot more fun with her. I'd like to get back to Baja again soon.
